Every time I speak to a health professional about flouride, they assure me that it’s safe, and that the government wouldn’t do it if it was harmful. Yet, when I do any research at all about this, it is apparent that this stuff is incredibly harmful. So, the two lesssons to learn here is that 1., develop a healthy sense of skepticism towards “authority” figures (they are even more brainwashed than the rest of the population), and 2., ask yourself why our government is poisoning its population? (hint: flouride was used in communist work camps after it was observed that flouridated prisoners were more docile.) Do the research, find out for yourself. You’ll never look at your toothpaste the same way again….

The two greatest visions of a future dystopia were George Orwell’s “1984” and Aldous Huxley’s “Brave New World.” The debate, between those who watched our descent towards corporate totalitarianism, was who was right. Would we be, as Orwell wrote, dominated by a repressive surveillance and security state that used crude and violent forms of control? Or would we be, as Huxley envisioned, entranced by entertainment and spectacle, captivated by technology and seduced by profligate consumption to embrace our own oppression? It turns out Orwell and Huxley were both right. Huxley saw the first stage of our enslavement. Orwell saw the second.

Yes we are. We’re like the frog in the boiling pot. The heat has been rising–freedoms being lost, standard of living declining, nature is being destroyed….all while you where playing Halo and stuffing your fat ass with Twinkies and Mountain Dew…or buying your CoCo Channel shit….

The Eagles beat New York! Hoorah. Our republic and our way of life is being eroded as we speak, but who cares? Pass the Spicy Hot Dorritos (TM). We are becoming a police state, resembling the Stassi, for you cold war fans. For you who received a public school education, the Stassi was the infamous East German secret police. They were known for their liberal views and their wonderful sense of humor. It is estimated that one in then citizens of East Germany was a Stassi informant. Our computers and cell phones are the new informants, however, so you don’t have to take any time away from your Dancing with the Stars watching.

I was recently told that my introductions sound angry. Me? Angry? Lol, I guess, in a way I am angry. I’m also hopeful. I think, however, that part of what this blog is about is self-expression, and I usually want to express myself when I get passionate, and many times that passion is anger over how messed up things are, and how few people are aware of it. It’s still “we the people”, but we aren’t paying attention. So I guess I can see how this blog might be skewed towards a more negative tone than reflects my incredibly well-balanced personality. :p So, don’t take this blog to be a reflection of who I am, just a facet of that multi-dimensional, multi-faceted, ever-fascinating person known as Neurojunky.
This is a semi-interesting article that talks about what a failure Obama is. One line that stands out is this summary of what this nation has become:
“This is a country of, by and for the rich, with a militaristic foreign policy based on permanent war and a corporate-dominated political duopoly gradually moving in a fascist direction.”
Nice. I couldn’t have said it better, or nicer, myself.
